In the first 2 months of 2024, the district's agricultural output will achieve stable productivity, with a total accumulated rice output of 51,228 tons, reaching 60.27% of the year's plan. Total vegetable output reached 31.87% of the plan, shrimp output reached 6.79%. Livestock and poultry farming are quite stable.

The work of site clearance to create a clean land fund for investment is being paid attention to and implemented drastically. The work of attracting investment and receiving investment projects outside industrial zones and clusters has been reported to the province to ensure regulations.

It is estimated that by February 29, 2024, the district's budget revenue will be 71,336 billion VND, reaching 13.4% of the provincial estimate, 12.4% of the district estimate, land use fees reaching 17.1%. Estimated revenue for the first quarter of 2024 is 172.8 billion VND, reaching 32.5% of the provincial estimate, 30% of the district estimate, land use fees reaching 37.5%.

Regarding the National Target Program on building new rural areas, the district has completed the new rural district report according to Central Coordination Office.

The implementation of breakthrough programs and key projects according to Resolution of the 12th District Party Congress has been accelerated.

Education - training, culture - society and social policies are paid attention to and implemented promptly and in accordance with regulations. The political security situation, social order and safety in the area are stable and maintained.

At the meeting, Can Duoc District People's Committee proposed and recommended that the Provincial People's Committee and provincial departments and branches pay attention, consider and guide localities and investors to remove difficulties and obstacles related to investment land allocation,  infrastructure investment, especially in resettlement area projects serving industrial zones and clusters; support localities to work with investors on investment in incomplete technical and social infrastructure according to approved planning, and take sanctions against investors according to regulations.

Long An must pay attention to investing in completing the National Highway 50 drainage system, sidewalks, and trees (beginning at Can Giuoc district boundary - ending at My Loi bridge); repair the road surface and build a new drainage system on the section of National Highway 50 (old section) of My Loi ferry (Km33+770 - Km35+123); Upgrade and expand underground sewers and sidewalks on Provincial Road 826, the remaining section through Can Duoc district; Soon deploy the road connecting the infrastructure of Long Son industrial clusters 1,2,3 from Doi Ma river to the industrial clusters being deployed and implemented.

The province will consider and support investment in handling landslides in the Rach Cat dike area, Nuoc Man canal; partial landslides of plots 490, 561, 562, 563 of map sheet No. 4; The province will soon issue a decision to issue regulations on prices for public irrigation products and services in the province and promptly support organizations exploiting irrigation works and people; etc.
