Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese products

In recent years, the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese goods” has been widely deployed in Long An province. Through many effective forms of propaganda and creative methods, consumers have gradually changed their perception of the quality of Vietnamese goods.

Many propaganda activities from the campaign

Recently, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have actively coordinated with localities to innovate propaganda work to implement the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese goods" to the people.

Many activities such as the program to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas, bring rural goods to urban areas, abroad, introduce and sell OCOP products in Tan An city, Can Duoc district, Duc Hoa, localities in Dong Thap Muoi region of the province; Vietnamese goods sales points in 15 districts, towns, cities or traditional markets, periodic markets with the names "Proud of Vietnamese goods", "Quintessence of Vietnamese goods", etc have been deployed to contribute to promoting and building product brands of people and enterprises.

Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province - Do Thi Kim Tham said: “After 3 years of implementing Directive No. 03, dated May 19, 2021 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over the movement "Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese goods" in the new situation, there is a rapid change in the awareness of all classes of people about prioritizing goods produced by domestic enterprises”.

Ms. Le Minh Tu (Khanh Hau ward, Tan An city) shared: “My family prioritizes using Vietnamese goods, from food such as rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, instant noodles to household appliances and clothes. Products from domestic enterprises are increasingly diverse, of good quality, beautiful designs and reasonable prices”.

In the period of 2021-2024, through organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, monthly meetings and activities of Party branches, groups, associations, and propaganda activities on the Campaign were integrated with nearly 8,800 meetings, with more than 481,000 participants.

At the same time, sectors and localities organized many exhibitions, Vietnamese goods markets, zero-dong Vietnamese goods markets, conferences connecting supply and demand, trading goods and promoting domestic and foreign trade promotion.

Recently, activities to support enterprises to participate in trade promotion, connecting trade to develop markets have been focused on: Supporting about 3,000 enterprises to participate in trade connection events with domestic and foreign enterprises and trade promotion organizations in direct and online forms; regularly posting information on buying and selling needs of enterprises and markets for enterprises to connect and find trade opportunities.

According to Director of the Department of Industry and Trade - Huynh Van Quang Hung, through trade activities and trade connections, enterprises focus on investing in modern production equipment, improving the quality of goods, expanding the distribution system, providing Vietnamese products to consumers. Therefore, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue have increased annually compared to the same period.

In the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to support enterprises to promote export activities, develop brands, and enhance the value of Vietnamese goods. The Department also monitors the market situation; implements trade promotion programs, e-commerce to promote and connect the consumption of Vietnamese goods and OCOP products of the province.

According to Ms. Do Thi Kim Tham, in the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province will continue to deploy tasks and solutions to implement the Project "Developing the domestic market" associated with the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese goods"; organize propaganda activities, mobilize member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to actively participate in the province's OCOP Program, implement activities associated with the goals of developing the domestic market, to protect the rights and interests of consumers.

Spreading in the community

In 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Thanh commune, Thu Thua district chose Hamlet 2 as the location to implement the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese goods". Notably, it has organized and maintained a Vietnamese goods market every Monday in Hamlet 2 for nearly 10 years.

While at first, the market was little known, now there are more than 120 small traders participating in trading with a variety of products, including agricultural products, meat, fish, consumer goods of Vietnamese origin. Thanks to that, the market has basically met the shopping needs of local people.

Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Thanh Commune - Pham Thanh Dung said: “Through the Vietnamese goods market, the locality wants to promote and mobilize people to prioritize using products with clear origins, ensuring quality and food hygiene and safety.

Currently, in the commune, about 85% of households use products made in Vietnam, showing a positive change in people's awareness and consumption habits”.

Mr. Tran Huu Hoa (Hamlet 2, Long Thanh Commune) shared: “Since the Vietnamese goods market, I feel more secure when shopping because the goods have clear origins and reasonable prices. I have gradually gotten used to prioritizing Vietnamese goods, both ensuring quality and contributing to supporting domestic products”.

It is known that at the end of September 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Thua district organized a Vietnamese goods market for poor households in Long Thanh commune. Within the framework of the program, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district presented 11 gifts to poor households (each worth 500,000 VND with a discount coupon at the market) and 10 gifts to near-poor households (each worth 300,000 VND).

In 2024, in order to propagate and mobilize cadres, civil servants and people of all walks of life to prioritize choosing and using Vietnamese goods when they have shopping needs, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nhi Thanh commune, Thu Thua district implemented the Vietnamese goods sales point at Minh Phuc grocery store (Hamlet 2, Nhi Thanh commune).

In conjunction with the program, the Organizing Committee presented 10 gifts to poor, near-poor, sick and disadvantaged households with 0 VND vouchers (with a purchase value of 100,000 VND) and an additional 10kg of rice.

In addition, the program will present 50 Vietnamese shopping vouchers with a discount of 50,000 VND/150,000 VND bill.

Charitable Tet Market Program in Chau Thanh District

Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nhi Thanh Commune - Le Thi Ngoc Xuong said: “The Vietnamese goods sales points model not only helps people easily access quality Vietnamese products at affordable prices, but also contributes to raising public awareness of supporting Vietnamese goods. We hope to create a habit of consuming Vietnamese goods in people's daily lives”.

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Thanh District, in recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district and its member organizations have coordinated with all levels and sectors to effectively implement the contents of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese goods".

The model of residential areas buying and using Vietnamese goods in their families and production has been deployed synchronously in 86/86 residential areas on holidays and Tet. The fairs and exhibitions of Vietnamese goods have attracted a large number of people to participate in shopping. In particular, propaganda work has been promoted with 1,885 meetings, attracting 55,815 participants, contributing to raising people's awareness of prioritizing the use of Vietnamese goods.

Not only promoting propaganda, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the district coordinated with the district VNPT, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of communes, towns, enterprises and philanthropists, and the Management Board of Tan Xuan communal house to organize the "0 Dong Vietnamese Goods Festival", "0 Dong Vietnamese Goods Market" with many stalls of diverse food and necessities with a total cost of 423 million VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim (Tan Long Hamlet, Thanh Phu Long Commune, Chau Thanh District) shared: "When I have a need to shop for my family, I always prioritize Vietnamese goods. Vietnamese products and goods have stable prices, good quality, and are trusted by many people, so I feel secure in using them".

To promote Vietnamese goods, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Chau Thanh District coordinated with local businesses to participate in the "Proud of Vietnamese Goods" Trade Fair in Tan An City, displaying 19 items; mobilized union members, religious followers and people to participate in the Long An Province Vietnamese Goods Fair at Chau Thanh District Square with 39 booths selling leather shoes, wooden furniture, handicrafts, jewelry, cosmetics, etc.

In order for the "Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese goods" movement to spread strongly in the community, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels will continue to review and build more good and effective models in the coming time./.
