Women improved knowledge, provided capital to apply hi-tech in vegetable planting

According to the Project on the high-tech application of agriculture in association with the restructuring of the agriculture sector, the high-tech vegetable area has been implemented in 18 communes of Can Giuoc, Can Duoc, Duc Hoa and Tan An city. The total budget for the program from 2019 to 2020 is over 230 million VND; only in 2019, the budget is over 150 million VND.

Accordingly, the target of the Vietnam Women's Union of the province to implement the project in the period of 2017-2020 includes 100 percent of households will be supported with capital for planting following VietGAP; 100 percent of the vegetable area in the high-tech application area will be supported with capital; and so on.

To achieve the above targets, in addition to training on vegetable planting applying high technology; organizing seminars to exchange experiences in program implementation and replication of typical models; supporting localities to consolidate and develop cooperative and cooperative groups to link the production - consumption of products into value chains, the provincial Women's Union of Vietnam should coordinate with the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development and the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to promote the implementation of programs and credit policies for female farmers.
