17th session of IXth Long An Provincial People's Council to take place on December 5 and 6

The Provincial Standing People's Council meets to agree on the agenda of the 17th session

On the first day (December 5), the Provincial Standing People's Council will submit summary report of voters' recommendations before the meeting; proposal to issue a Resolution on establishing a delegation to supervise the observance of policies and laws on people's health care and implementing of the universal health insurance roadmap for the period 2016-2020 in the province.

The Provincial People's Committee will submit to the provincial People's Council to consider adjusting the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2016-2020; to allocate the provincial budget to support activities of caring for children in special circumstances and reducing the risk of children falling into special circumstances; to stipulate the policy of supporting loans for workers working abroad under contracts in the period of 2020-2025; to approve the payroll of civil servants in 2020 and the number of employees working in public non-business units in 2020; and so on.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the People's Committee, the boards of the Provincial People's Council will explain the issues raised by the Provincial People's Council delegates through discussions at the groups before the session and the verification opinions of the boards of the provincial People's Council. After that, the delegates will discuss in the hall about important issues, different ideas and the contents that have not been discussed at the groups.

On the second day (December 6), the Provincial Standing People's Council will summarize the results of the resolution of voters' proposals before and after the 15th session (the 2019 mid-year regular meeting). The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council will conduct Q and A session at the hall.

In the afternoon of the same day, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee will make a speech to clarify some issues on socio-economic development management in 2020 and issues raised by the Provincial People's Council delegates in the discussion session of the afternoon on December 5. Next, delegates of the Provincial People's Council will continue to discuss issues related to the content of the session. At the end of the day, the Provincial People's Council passed the resolution and closed the session.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council will also elect additional Provincial Committee Members for newly appointed Department Directors. The session will be broadcast live on Long An Television & Radio Station./.
