The BCG Bang Duong Solar power plant project was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade with a capacity of 40.6 MW, built on an area of 50.2 hectares. BCG Bang Duong Energy Joint Stock Company (BCG Bang Duong) - a member company under Bamboo Capital Group (BCG) is the investor of this project with a total investment of USD 42 million.

According to Chairman of Bamboo Capital Group - Nguyen Ho Nam, the factory has been installed 123,000 solar panels with modern technology and equipment, bringing high capacity efficiency.

The panels absorb the radiation of the sun, convert it into electrical energy to integrate into the power transmission and generation system with an output of 57 million kWh per year. The output is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 22,000 households in Vietnam, reducing emissions by 16,000 tons of CO2 per year.

Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Pham Van Canh highly appreciated the project. The event marks the development of solar electric energy field in Long An province.

At the same time, he asked investors to operate the factory in accordance with the process, especially the environmental protection in the process of replacing and handling the solar panels.
