Action month for children launched

Deputy Standing Secretary of Long An Party Committee Do Huu Lam gived gifts for children

Deputy Standing Secretary of Long An Party Committee Do Huu Lam; deputy chairman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyen Minh Lam and deputy chairman of People’s Committee Pham Van Canh attended the launching ceremony.

“Action month for children” with theme of “For a safe and healthy life for children in digital world” aims to raise awareness and responsibility of organizations, families, individuals in limiting the negative effects of digital world to children. 

The event takes place from June 1 to 30 annually, also is to prove the party, government and local agencies always pay attention to children, ensuring in implementing children’s rights.

Long An authority said 100 percent of disadvantaged children in the province are helped and received healthcare services and education… however, children also need attention from community.

Deputy Chairman Canh at the ceremony called for all people joining hands for children’s safe living environment. 

On this occasion, the organizers offered 150 scholarships to 150 disadvantaged children worth VND 1million each and 100 gifts worth VND 500,000 each./.
