Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa awarded the Certificate of Recognition of Provincial-level art - architectural relic for Binh Lap communal house

Binh Lap is an ancient communal house in Tan An, built in the first half of the 19th century with traditional architecture in the form of four pillars. It worships Thanh Hoang bon canh (villages’ protectors) and ancestors. This place is also the center of beliefs and festivals of the local people from past to present.

Currently, it still has cultural elements typical of the Southern communal house. It also preserves many documents and artifacts with historical and cultural value of the 19th century. Binh Lap communal house is also one of the important evidence of the process of reclaiming and establishing the people's sovereignty in ancient Tan An land.

With the above values, Binh Lap communal house is ranked by the People's Committee of Long An province as a Provincial-level art - architectural relic in Decision No.2867/QD-UBND on April 1, 2022. This is an important legal basis to preserve and promote the value of the relic.

In the coming time, the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism and Tan An city will coordinate more closely in protecting, preserving the relic and connecting the heritage sites of Tan An city with the Vam Co Tay river tourist route.

It is hoped that the Binh Lap communal house will promote the traditional historical-cultural education in the locality.
