Can Giuoc Bridge is a key project in the Resolution of the 12th District Party Congress, term 2020-2025
For many years now, the travel of people in the district in general and the lower region in particular is very difficult, since there is only one connection point on Provincial Road 830 through Thu Bo bridge, connecting Long An and Long Phung communes. This location is far from the central area of the district, making inter-regional connectivity limited. Meanwhile, the operation of Tan Thanh ferry in the long run cannot meet the needs of local development. Therefore, the people on both sides of the river always yearn for having a bridge across the Can Giuoc river, connecting the lowland communes with the town for convenient travel and economic development.
