Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and Long An province attended an inaugural ceremony for the Can Giuoc-Can Gio ferry in Long An’s Can Giuoc district on April 21.

At the inaugural ceremony for the Can Giuoc-Can Gio ferry.

The Can Giuoc – Can Gio ferry service was constructed at a total cost of VND56 billion (US$2.45 million), it comprises two ferry terminals, two 30-tonne and 60-tonne ferries, and a system of technical infrastructure.

The 178m-long roadway to Tan Tap ferry cost VND5.8 billion (US$254,330) – with VND2 billion being provided from the Long An provincial budget and VND3.8 billion from investors.
