Towards improving productivity and quality of agricultural products 

Ending the year 2020, the provincial Agriculture sector has achieved many outstanding results in all fields. This is the driving force for the sector to continue making a breakthrough in 2021, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the XIth Congress of Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025. 

Specialized farming areas are focused on developing

Thanh Hoa is a low-lying, end-stream district, so it is easily affected by high tide. In the past year, the complicated situation of natural disasters and epidemics has significantly affected the agricultural sector of the district. Head of Division of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thanh Hoa district - Nguyen Kinh Kha said: “The goal of the district agricultural sector in 2021 and the term 2020-2025 is to continue to expand the area of 750 hectares of rice applying  high technology and focusing on developing areas specializing in cultivation of 450 hectares of pineapple (Tan Tay commune), the area specializing in cultivating 2,800 hectares of yams (Thanh An commune) and the area specializing in lemon tree cultivation of 500 hectares (Thuan Binh commune). At the same time, the branch focuses on directing farmers to sow according to the seasonal schedule in each region, each field, ensuring mass sowing and avoiding pests and diseases”. 

According to the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development - Nguyen Thanh Truyen, although the Agricultural sector in the past year achieved positive results, the challenges in 2021 are still great, even forecasted to have some negative effects more extremely. Therefore, the Agricultural sector has come up with resolute solutions to overcome in the coming time. Accordingly, in 2021, the sector strives to achieve the growth rate of region I from 1.5-2 percent; to maintain a stable rice output of over 2.7 million tons, of which high quality rice output reaches over 1.5 million tons; at least 7 more communes meeting new-style rural (NR) standards and 7 more communes achieving advanced NR standards; 2 more districts and towns meeting NR standards or completing the task of building NR; rural households using clean water reaches 99.3 percent , clean water reaches 56 percent  or more; planting 1 million green trees of all kinds and planting 500 hectares of forest after exploitation. 

“In order to fulfill and exceed the targets of the Resolution of the XI Congress of Provincial Party Committee, the term 2020-2025, from the beginning of 2021, the Agricultural sector continues to promote the application of high technology associated with restructuring the agricultural sector, aiming to improve the productivity and quality of agricultural products and the efficiency of production and business; increase activities of cattle and poultry re-herd; at the same time, drastically direct the prevention of diseases on plants and animals, ensure safety for production and stabilize people's lives. In addition, the sector strengthened the promotion to attract investment in agriculture under the province's incentive mechanism; focus on mobilizing resources to implement the National Target Program on building NR; continue to upgrade, maintain and repair irrigation works after investment in order to improve the capacity to avoid and limit disadvantages caused by natural disasters and respond to climate change. In addition, the sector continues to reform administrative procedures, support and remove difficulties for investment businesses in the province in general and for businesses operating in the agricultural sector in particular”- Mr. Truyen said more.

Urgently for new goals 

Huu Thanh Industrial Park (IP) is invested by IDICO-JSC (Idico) Corporation, with a total area of over 524 hectares. In which, industrial land for rent is nearly 399 hectares, green land - water surface is nearly 63 hectares, land for operating services is 5.3 hectares, land for technical infrastructure works is 5.2 hectares, land for traffic is 51.6 hectares. Starting construction of infrastructure in June 2020, up to now, the IP has leveled about 140 hectares of ground area for industrial land, built the main road to the IP. Director of Idico IP Project Management Unit - Nguyen Vu Minh Hong said, up to this time, the company has invested over 2,500 billion VND in Huu Thanh IP in items such as construction and infrastructure. In the early months of 2021, the company continued to focus on leveling, building 3 more main roads, small branch roads going into the interior. The company is determined to promote the construction of infrastructure in terms of ground, electricity and water infrastructure so that it is eligible to receive secondary investors by September 2021.

As an employee of Hiep Thanh Plastic Manufacturing Joint Stock Company (Hiep Thanh Plastic), Ms. Vo Thi Phuong Anh said that from the beginning of the new year 2021, the working atmosphere of more than 400 workers and employees at the unit very urgently and seriously. According to her, in 2020, although affected by the disease Covid-19, the company has tried to overcome many difficulties, create jobs and stable income for employees. That is also one of the reasons that workers stick with and accompany businesses in production and business activities. Most workers and employees were specifically informed by the company about the Tet bonus in 2020 as well as other salaries from the Trade Union. This information excited everyone. 

Production worker at Hiep Thanh Plastic CompanyMr. Le Van Nhuong - Production manager of Hiep Thanh Plastic Company, said that 2020 is a difficult year for enterprises across the country. Likewise, Hiep Thanh Plastic Company has difficulty in buying raw materials as well as exporting goods because the countries are in port due to the Covid-19 epidemic. However, when the epidemic is stable, the company promotes production as well as the marketing of goods. The result in 2020, production output is not lower than in 2019, reaching over 6,600 tons of products. Currently, the company promotes the purchase of raw materials for production in 2021. According to the plan, the company strives to achieve a growth rate of 10-15 percent compared to 2020. All levels, branches and businesses have tried their best to emulate their labor and production right from the beginning of the year with the determination to reap new successes and victories./.
