The conference was attended by Politburo members: Permanent National Assembly vice Chairwoman, Tong Thi Phong, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Truong Hoa Binh and Secretary of Party Central Committee and Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court, Nguyen Hoa Binh.

A report at the conference showed that the implementation of the new regulations of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents and the implementation of the law building programme deployed by the Government have seen positive results in both progress and the quality of bills and ordinances.

Delegates at the conference also presented solutions to ensure that the law projects were included in the legislative programme in 2018-2019 on schedule and that their quality is ensured.

According to NA Vice Chairman, Phung Quoc Hien, and several other delegates, the drafting agencies and verifying authorities should further strengthen their coordination to ensure the progress of adopting 43 new laws in the near future.

Meanwhile, NA Vice Chairman, Uong Chu Luu, proposed that the NA’s Law Committee coordinates closely with the Ministry of Justice and the agencies concerned to collect opinions at the conference to finalise and submit them to the NASC to promulgate a resolution on implementing the law building programme for 2019, and adjustments for the 2018 plan./.
