Provincial police force deploys crime prevention and ensures traffic safety

According to the Standing Member of the Provincial Traffic Safety Board - Phung Van On directs the implementation of the Peak Month of Traffic Safety for students in September. In particular, functional departments focus on implementing measures to ensure traffic safety at school areas to prevent traffic jams, especially on the opening day of the new school year. The Education sector focuses on propagating knowledge and regulations on traffic safety for students; the schools sign a commitment to comply with traffic safety regulations with students and their parents.

At the same time, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee asks the branches and localities to tighten the quality management and traffic safety for passenger transport vehicles; asks the transport businesses and bus stations to meet the travel needs of the people, minimize congestion, delays and cancellations; control and strictly handle the illegal increase of fares, and so on.

In addition, functional agencies strengthen patrol, control and strictly handle violations of traffic safety; adjust the traffic safety conditions at cross-river passenger wharves and waterway traffic; strictly handle and suspend the operation of cross-river passenger wharves that are not eligible to operate under the provisions of law.

Functional forces focus on inspecting and installing signs, signal lights, warning devices at locations that are at risk of unsafe; promptly and effectively handle black spots in traffic, especially at national highways, industrial parks and clusters; announce on the mass media the hotline number to receive information about the traffic situation to promptly solve incidents or accidents.

The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee also requests departments, branches of the province, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to strictly implement and closely monitor the traffic situation to promptly handle./.
