According to the draft Resolution, the economic growth rate of the province in the period 2016-2020 was quite high, 9.11 percent per year; economic structure continues to shift in the right direction; Average GRDP per capita reaches 77 million VND per year; The socio-economic infrastructure system has been gradually improved, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development and people's life better and better; budget revenue reached and exceeded the annual estimate.

However, the development of the province is not commensurate with its potentials, strengths and opportunities; economic growth is not really sustainable; collective economic development has not met the requirements; supporting industry is slow to develop; the work of compensation, site clearance still faces many shortcomings; Social investment capital mobilization has not kept pace with development requirements; cross-border smuggling is still complicated; etc.

At the conference, delegates focused on contributing ideas on the scientific ability and feasibility of the draft Resolution; the compliance of the draft Resolution with the Party's undertakings and guidelines, the State's policies and laws; at the same time assessing the political, economic, cultural, social, national defense, security and external impact of the draft Resolution.

The delegates said that the assessment of the economy is very much, while the other contents are very few, so it should be restructured accordingly. There are suggestions for reviewing the basis of determining income per capita and proposing feasible solutions to implement in the coming years. According to delegates, the province should pay more attention to vocational training, building cooperative economy, cooperatives, the sex ratio at birth, and so on to meet the target of the Resolution of the XIth Congress of Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

Along with that, delegates proposed additional solutions to overcome the planning work in recent years, in which it is necessary to pay attention to implementing the provincial master plan to serve as a legal basis for implementing other plans such as regional planning, urban development planning; strengthening security protection on Internet space; and having specific anti-corruption solutions.

Some opinions requested to review investment projects in the province, took stronger and more drastic measures, resolutely revoked projects that have not been implemented due to errors from investors. In addition, the delegates also proposed the province to pay attention to the issue of urban wastewater discharge; to step up the border-gate economic development in association with the urban development of Kien Tuong town; promote railway traffic connection with Ho Chi Minh City, etc.
