Ibaraki province delegation visits Long An province

On November 13, a delegation from the Ibaraki Provincial Government, Japan, led by Director of the Ibaraki Provincial Foreign Resident Support Center - Harumi Sato, paid a courtesy visit in Long An province.

Welcoming the delegation were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa; leaders of provincial departments and branches.

At the end of 2019, Long An province and Ibaraki province signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of labor. Since then, the two sides have had many activities to promote and strengthen cooperation.

From 2020 to October 2024, the province has sent 2,247 workers to work abroad. Of which, 1,790 workers were sent to Japan, accounting for 79.6%. Particularly, Long An's workers in Ibaraki province are mainly in the fields of: Mechanics, industry, food processing, agriculture, construction.

On behalf of Long An province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa expressed his joy at welcoming the delegation. He also informed the delegation about the province's highlights, socio-economic and foreign investment attraction situation. Currently, the total registered capital of Japanese enterprises investing in Long An is nearly 1 billion USD.

Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa thanked the Ibaraki Provincial Government for their active and effective cooperation over the past time. During the recent interview, Long An had 3 workers recruited to work in Ibaraki province. Mr. Pham Tan Hoa hopes that enterprises and Ibaraki province will create favorable conditions for workers to study, train and gain experience.

Mr. Pham Tan Hoa hopes that through this working trip, Ibaraki province enterprises will be able to search for and select suitable candidates as well as connect and exchange, seek cooperation opportunities and investment environment suitable for their businesses.

On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Harumi Sato thanked Long An Province for actively training young human resources to send to the province to work. Regarding the 3 workers who have just been interviewed for recruitment, Ms. Harumi Sato hopes that the young workers will be trained in their expertise and working capacity to gain experience and skills and return to contribute to their homeland./.
