Inauguration of water plant in Duc Hoa
On December 15, Phu My Vinh Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company (Phu My Vinh Company) held the inauguration ceremony of Hoa Khanh Tay Water Supply Plant, phase 2, increasing the capacity to 80,000m3/day.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were representatives of central ministries and branches; Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Long An's People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa; former leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, leaders of provincial departments, agencies, leaders of Duc Hoa and Ben Luc districts.
Hoa Khanh Tay water supply system project, which takes surface water from Dau Tieng Lake with a 2 phases total design capacity of 80,000m3/day, was assigned by Long An's People's Committee to Phu My Vinh Company as an investor under Decision No 3361 dated December 25, 2008 according to the policy of socializing the province's water supply industry to serve clean water for daily life and production activities of Duc Hoa and Ben Luc district, Long An province.
Construction of water supply pipes
Phase 1 has a capacity of 40,000 m3/day with a total investment of over $38 million, using ODA loans from Korean Government, which has been built, completed, and put into use since October 2016 to serve the production activities of industrial zones and clusters and daily life of residential and urban areas in Duc Hoa district.
Hoa Khanh Tay water supply project, phase 1, since its inception, has brought many practical benefits. People in the area are very happy and excited because they no longer have to worry about the quality of water and diseases caused by water quality. All underground water wells of industrial zones have basically been sealed and filled, contributing to reserve precious groundwater resources for the province. Industrial zones and clusters, factories have access to clean water to expand production, attracting many secondary investors, including factories that use a lot of water such as textile technology, food processing, etc, thereby, creating a driving force for industrial zones and clusters, urban areas and services to develop strongly.
According to the planning of Long An province in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the key districts will be upgraded to grade III urban centers, of which, in the general planning by 2025, Duc Hoa district will become a grade III urban area and a class III city under the province. This further enhances the development of urban infrastructure, focusing on key projects in the direction of industry, urbanism, commerce and services in Duc Hoa district, whereby clean water becomes an urgent need.
Understanding the urgent need for additional clean water sources for Duc Hoa district, Phu My Vinh Company has urgently invested in construction to increase the capacity of Hoa Khanh Tay Water Plant in phase 2 to 80,000m3/day, and at the same time develop a network of pipelines to supply clean water to the northern area of Ben Luc district.
In June 2020, the project was started construction. Despite facing many difficulties due to the raging Covid-19 pandemic, after more than 2 years of active implementation, by November 2022, the project has been completed and put into operation. This water supply project is important to the economic infrastructure development planning of Duc Hoa district, Ben Luc district and surrounding areas, marking the result of a right investment direction in the policy of socializing the water supply industry, contributing to the realization of the goal of developing a sustainable clean water supply system, capable of supplying and meeting the demand for stable and long-term use of clean water, improving people's health and promoting socio-economic development of the province.
Chairman of Duc Hoa's People's Committee - Le Truong Chinh received 2 gratitude houses and 50 Tet gifts for poor households from Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hien - Chairman of Directors Board of Phu My Vinh Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company
On this occasion, Phu My Vinh Company also presented 2 gratitude houses and 100 Tet gifts worth 220 million VND to Duc Hoa and Ben Luc district./.
