On August 4, 2022, Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut and leaders of departments and branches had a friendly meeting and exchange between the two sides. At the meeting and working session, Governor of Chungcheongnam-do - Kim Tae Huem said that since the two provinces signed the Cooperation Agreement in 2005, there have been practical cultural and youth exchange activities. In 2022, as the new leader of Chungcheongnam-do, when the Covid-19 epidemic is gradually brought under control, as well as proceed to activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea (1992 - 2022), the Governor wishes to carry out more cooperation activities between the two provinces, specifically ready to introduce businesses of Chungcheongnam Province - intending to invest in Long An as well as support Long An province to connect with other provinces, Korean agencies and organizations. Governor of Chungcheongnam-do expressed his desire to strengthen and elevate the cooperation relationship between the two provinces to a new height.

At the meeting, Chairman of Long An People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut sent his congratulations to Mr. Kim Tae Huem who had just assumed the position of Governor. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also gave an overview of Long An province as well as the activities that the two provinces have implemented such as K2H program, student exchange, etc.

He hoped that there would be many opportunities between the two sides to strengthen cooperation and development through the Innovation Center model, create conditions for Korean businesses to invest, and invite the Governor to visit Long An on the occasion of Governor Kim Tae Huem's visit to attend the inauguration of Chungcheongnam-do Office in Hanoi, scheduled in November 2022.

Previously, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the 8th Yellow Sea Forum held in Chungcheongnam-do. This is an international event held annually in Chungcheongnam-do since 2015 with the aim of creating "A Sea of Peace" in the Yellow Sea area, in order to promote prosperity, aspire to bring peaceful cooperation among local governments in the region. The forum is organized to create an opportunity for local governments in the region to exchange, actively seek ways to strengthen friendship and work together towards sustainable growth in the region future marine resources.
