The delegation of Long An and Tay Ninh provinces wished the Cambodian government and people to enter the new year to achieve more great achievements, especially the successful organization of the election of the commune and ward councils for the new term in 2022.

In the past 2 years, the Covid-19 epidemic has disrupted many annual activities on holidays and New Year of the 3 provinces. Trade activities were limited, and many other cooperation activities were also suspended. However, in the most difficult period, the traditional solidarity and friendship, the cooperative relationship was further promoted. This has been demonstrated through mutual support in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, maintaining security and order in the border areas, jointly building a border of peace, friendship and cooperation for mutual development.

According to Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc, at present and in the future, the Covid-19 epidemic is still complicated. For the development and happiness of the people in accordance with the common direction of the Governments of the two countries, he believed that the three provinces would make more efforts to recover and develop quickly the economies; protect people's health and lives and safely, flexibly and effectively control the Covid-19 epidemic in the new normal period.

This activity aims to strengthen the traditional friendship and solidarity between Vietnam - Cambodia in general and Long An - Svay Rieng in particular

In the spirit of “Fine neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability”, the three provinces will continue to work together to effectively implement the guidelines, policies and comprehensive development cooperation agreements signed by the Governments of the two countries, especially the cooperation agreements between Long An province, Tay Ninh province with Svay Rieng province, contributing to deepening the friendship and sustainable development of the Vietnam - Cambodia relationship, especially in 2022 - the "Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Year" - the year the two countries celebrate 55 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations (June 24, 1967 - June 24, 2022).
