Long An: 126 candidate’s dossiers for National Assembly and Provincial People's Council handed over

Information from the Provincial Election Commission, by the end of the afternoon of March 14, 2021, when the deadline for receipt of candidacy dossiers is expired, the Provincial Election Commission received 14 candidate dossiers for National Assembly deputies and 112 dossiers for members of the Provincial People's Council (all are nominations for candidates).

At the handover ceremony, the Provincial Election Commission transferred the list of excerpts, summary biographies and copies of asset and income declarations of a total of 126 candidates for the National Assembly and Provincial People's Council tenure 2021-2026 for the Standing Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

Previously, on February 8, 2021, at the first consultative conference of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province with representatives of member organizations, all delegates agreed on the number of people expected to nominate candidates. The XVth National Assembly has 14 people, including 1 person of Party Bloc; 8 people of bloc of agencies and state; 3 people of bloc of Fatherland Front, unions and member organizations; 1 person of bloc of non-business units (schools); 1 person of economic organization bloc.

For members of the Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, the conference agreed that the number of people expected to be nominated is 117 people, including 38 people of the bloc of provincial agencies; 5 people of the block of Party agencies at provincial level; and 8 people of the block of provincial People's Councils; 14 people of the bloc of state agencies, judicial agencies and the armed forces at the provincial level; 11 people of the bloc of Fatherland Front and political-social mass organizations, member organizations of the provincial Fatherland Front; 60 people of local bloc, including 18 people key leaders and 42 people of other agencies./.
