Long An delegation surveys high-tech parks, leading corporations in Taiwan

Within the framework of second day of working visit to Taiwan (China), on March 7, Long An delegation visited and worked at the headquarters of Taiwan's leading corporations in the field of urban, waste treatment; visiting wastewater treatment models and surveying high-tech industrial parks in Taipei City.

The delegation worked and surveyed at Nangang Software Park. The park with a scale of over 10 hectares is located in the complex of 87 hectares Nangang Economic and Commercial Zone in the east of Taipei City, designed according to international green standards to protect the environment. This high-tech complex is considered an important catalyst for the development of high-tech industries in Taiwan and has contributed to the significant increase in Taiwan's technological manufacturing market share in the world.

During the working session at the Operations Center, the partner representative introduced and guided the delegation to the headquarters and major research centers of over 400 giant technology corporations of Taiwan and the world: Innovation cemter of Microsoft, Building of IBM Corporation, Intel, Sony, Yahoo, HP, Sony, Philips.

In 2007, the technology complex employed 14,000 people and generated 6 billion USD in annual production revenue. It is estimated that when fully expanded, Nangang commercial and economic zone will generate over 28 billion USD in annual revenue and employ over 28,000 people. This high-tech development model is consider the coming standard to modernize the industry, contributing to increased output and efficient revenue.

Through the survey, Long An Delegation has very useful information for research and application in the locality. In the coming time, the province will focus on reviewing, researching and proposing mechanisms and policies suitable to locality, and proposing competent authorities for implementation guidelines.

On the same day, the delegation visited and worked at the headquarters of CT&D Group. Attending the reception were Mr. Arthur Ting - Chairman of Member Board of CT&D Group, leader of Phu My Hung Development Co., Ltd. CT&D Group has invested over 750 million USD, directly or indirectly creating over 100,000 job opportunities. CT&D Group has 3 major projects and 1 Community Fund in Vietnam with famous projects such as Nguyen Van Linh Boulevard, Phu My Hung urban area, Tan Thuan export processing zone. These projects have contributed to changing the face of many provinces and cities across the country.

On December 7, 2022, leaders of Long An province had a meeting and worked with leaders of CT&D Group and Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Industry Association on research and investment in high-quality urban areas in Long An. During the meeting with the delegation, Mr. Arthur Ting introduced about the Group's implemented projects as well as highly appreciated potential and advantages that Long An has. At the same time, he exchanged mechanisms and policies for the province to promote investment attraction and develop more effectively in the next period. He hopes that with the support of the leaders of Long An province, the Group will have the 5th "Phu My Hung" project in Long An province as soon as possible.

CT&D Group discusses with Long An Delegation about cooperation in the future

In response to leaders of CT&D Group, the provincial economic advisor - Nguyen Minh Lam highly appreciated the Group's contributions to the development of the localities where the corporation has invested. He also welcome the Group to survey and find out the location for investment research in Long An. He emphasized that he will create all the best conditions when the Group comes to Long An, helping Long An soon to have the 5th bustling, advanced and modern Phu My Hung urban area.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited and worked at the headquarters of Nanoplus Tech Group. Nanoplus Tech is a consortium of 8 affiliated companies operating in the fields of High-tech integrating R&D, thermally conductive plastic production, laser technology, and wastewater treatment. Mr. Max Huang - Vice Chairman of the Group, welcomed the delegation. He introduced the delegation modern technology models applied by the company to technology giants such as Foxconn, Huawei, Philips, IKEA, etc. These technologies have been introduced by the company to Vietnamese businesses and received positive feedback. The Group expressed its desire to arrange a field visit and seek cooperation opportunities in Long An in the near future.

After listening to the introduction, the provincial economic advisor - Nguyen Minh Lam highly appreciated the Group's products, technical processes and technologies, especially the industrial water treatment models. He affirmed that this is the model that Tan An City interested in to improve the environment and urban quality. Provincial leaders expressed their hope that the Group would soon arrange to work in Long An to conduct field surveys, propose effective solutions and cooperation opportunities for Tan An City in particular as well as the possibility of further replication testing in industrial parks in the province, towards becoming a locality with a green industry in the future.

On March 8, Long An  delegation will co-organize the "2023 Vietnam Investment Promotion Workshop" in Taipei City with the participation of many big organizations, investors and corporations in Taiwan./.
