The situation of Covid-19 epidemic is complicated in provinces and cities nationwide. Although Long An has not recorded cases, it is not possible to eliminate the spread of disease. Up to 6 a.m of July 30, Vietnam recorded 459 cases; including 43 cases in the community since July 25. As soon as the first case of the disease was detected in the community in Da Nang, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the Health Department issued documents and official dispatches focusing on promoting the prevention and control of epidemic in the new situation, strengthening strict control of border areas, implementing medical isolation and implementing telegrams of the National Steering Committee.

In Long An, the total number of people coming from Da Nang from July 18 to present is 970 people (including 155 cadres, civil servants and public employees of the state; 815 people). The Health Department plans to take testing sample for all cadres, civil servants and public employees and cases related to the Notice No. 16 and 17 of the Ministry of Health with 169 people, the remaining cases are isolated at home and monitored their health within 14 days under the supervision of commune and district health workers. If there are symptoms or updated according to a new notice of the Ministry of Health, testing sample will be collected as prescribed.

At the meeting, the Steering Committee members focused on giving solutions to prevent and control epidemics in the coming time. Specifically, cadres, civil servants and public employees are prioritized for early taking testing samples so that they feel peace of mind to work; quickly review cases of moving from epidemic areas; review necessary equipment in isolated areas; strictly control passengers entering through border gates, trails and open paths; etc.

The Education Department will arrange a prophylactic exam rooms and arrange personnel to participate in the examination work; promptly handle in case the candidate shows signs of fever, cough during the exam, then take them to the prophylactic exam rooms to ensure safety and peace of mind for the remaining candidates.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can proposed that Departments, branches and localities should agree on the view of "fighting against epidemics like fighting against the enemy", and need to mobilize the participation of the whole political system; continue to implement dual goals under the direction and management of the Provincial People's Committee.

The Public Security Department should continue to review and update every day of Long An residents from the epidemic area and foreigners coming back to the province.

Health sector accesses and takes testing sample all people related to the notice No. 16,17 and18 of the Ministry of Health; urgently directs and inspects the work of medical examination and treatment in medical establishments.

He suggested that all people returning from epidemic areas should be isolated at home according to regulations. Presidents of provincial and district People's Committees are responsible for strictly managing these cases; Health officials must regularly examine and monitor health. The head of the agency is responsible for managing cadres, civil servants and public employees from the epidemic area and seriously implements isolation at home as prescribed.

Military and Health sectors have close coordination in preparing facilities, equipment and human resources in concentrated isolation areas. Industry and Trade sector works with the production facilities, trading masks to ensure quality and meet requirements.

Frontier forces should strictly implement the Prime Minister's Directive 16 to prevent illegal entry and do well in the prevention and combat of smuggling. The Education Department continues to advise the Provincial People's Committee to implement measures to prevent and control epidemics in the spirit of the Ministry's guidance, continue to review the number of students and relatives traveling from Da Nang to ensure graduation exams occur safely.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels, sectors and unions actively mobilized businesses, agencies and units to seriously implement hand disinfection, body temperature measurement and wear face masks before going to work. The media should increase the number of specialized pages and sections on epidemic prevention and control measures./.
