Long An estimates about 80 percent of enterprises to resume operations

It is estimated that about 80 percent of enterprises in Long An province have returned to operation

In order to create conditions for enterprises to resume production and trade after basically controlling the Covid-19 epidemic situation, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 3222/KH-UBND on October 4, 2021 on restoring of production and trade of enterprises in the province.

Accordingly, all enterprises in the province are allowed to operate again, enterprises must actively develop plans to restore production and trade to the management agencies.

As of October 24, in the province, 2,280 enterprises returned to production and trade with 193,429 employees. This is the statistical data obtained by enterprises that have registered their "3-on-site" operation before, the enterprise has been appraised the production restoration plan according to the Plan 2962/KH-UBND and the enterprise has submitted registration of the method of new production restoration project to the Department of Planning and Investment, Economic Zone Authority, Department of Industry and Trade and People's Committees of districts, town and city according to plan 3222/KH-UBND.

Thus, since October 4 (after the Provincial People's Committee issued the Plan 3222), up to now, the number of enterprises in the province operating has increased to 995 enterprises (from 1,285 enterprises to 2,280 enterprises). In addition, there are many enterprises that have resumed self-operation but have not yet promptly submitted plans to restore production and trade to the management agency, so statistics have not been reported.

In fact, after the Provincial People's Committee issued the Plan 3222/KH-UBND, the majority of businesses in the province have resumed operations. Up to now, it is estimated that about 80 percent of enterprises in the province have resumed operations (the province currently has 13,483 registered enterprises). The actual number of enterprises that have resumed operations is continuing to be reviewed and updated./.
