Long An focuses on introducing and promoting products through trade fairs

Recently, the Department of Industry and Trade has organized many trade promotion activities, sought and expanded the output market for agricultural products to help businesses and cooperatives sign many supply contracts, contributing to solving the output of goods, especially local agricultural products.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, up to July 2019, 180 contracts have been signed with Ho Chi Minh City, Tu Son Supermarket (An Giang province), Thien Duong Supermarket (Tay Ninh province), Dau Giay wholesale market (Dong Nai province), and so on.

The department is connecting to the Bach Hoa Xanh supermarket system; bringing agricultural products (peanuts, wine) to Cambodia market; connecting the consumption of agricultural products (bananas) to Aeon Supermarket in Malaysia; implementing many programs to connect with other provinces and cities throughout the country such as Lao Cai, Lang Son, Hanoi, etc.

In addition, the functional agencies have also focused on promoting and consuming agricultural products on the e-commerce trading floor; connected to open a store on online sales websites such as lazada.vn, sendo.vn; updated information on guidelines, mechanisms, policies and market information on the website of the Department of Industry and Trade and deployed directly to businesses and cooperatives in the province.

Agricultural products must ensure safety standards to have stable outputs

The Industry and Trade sector has also supported searching for information and connecting with Vietnam Trade Counselors in other countries and agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

In the coming time, Long An province will request leaders of departments, branches and localities to focus on promoting the Action Program to implement the commodity Import and export strategy for the 2011 - 2020 period, orientations to 2030 and the Consumption of key agricultural products strategy of the province.

Long An Provincial People's Committee will continue to support the development of agricultural supply chains through the High-tech Application of Agricultural Development Program in association with restructuring the agricultural sector; strengthen trade promotion activities for key agricultural products of the province.

To ensure a stable output for agricultural products, production must meet safety standards. Besides, the products must be preliminarily processed, packaged and traceable. Manufacturing establishments must have a delivery venue; be able to supply the quantity and quality of goods as required.

Long An Provincial People's Committee asks the Department of Industry and Trade to promptly inform businesses and cooperatives to actively participate in promotion activities and seek a stable output for agricultural products./.
