The total volume of underground water that can be exploited in the area (salty + fresh water ) is about 6,864,000 cube meter per day, of which, the volume of exploitable freshwater is 1,458,000 cube meter per day. Currently, the total actual exploitation volume is 621,900 cube meter per day to serve production and domestic activities in the area.
In addition, the total surface water reserve in the province is 15.11 billion cube meter, the exploitation flow for agricultural irrigation and aquaculture is 2.7 million cube meter per day and the exploitation flow is licensed due to Provincial People's Committee grants 64,760 cube meter per day for domestic use and production.
Over the past time, the Provincial People's Committee has issued many mechanisms and policies to effectively and rationally protect and exploit water resources in the area; Especially, the province does not license underground water exploitation when there are projects, concentrated water supply works passing through, implementing water supply zoning, encouraging organizations and individuals to participate in exploiting surface water sources, etc./.
