The methods and tricks of smugglers are still using cars to transport cigarettes from the border area of Duc Hue district and Kien Tuong town for domestic consumption. Smugglers take action mainly at night, from 10 pm to 3 am. At that time, they assign people to watch over roads to prevent anti-smuggling forces.

Recently, the functional forces such as Police, Border Guard, Customs, Market Management, etc. have inspected, controlled, arrested and handled many smuggling and transporting contraband goods, especially cigarettes. In October, the forces discovered, arrested, and confiscated 214,762 packs of cigarettes. Accumulated, in the first 10 months of 2019, the forces seized 1,555,064 packages of cigarettes.

Provincial Steering Committee 389 requires forces to focus on preventing and combating cigarette smuggling from now to the end of 2019. In addition, the forces continue to coordinate and share information between the relevant functional forces of the Central and local authorities to prevent smuggling activities in the province./.
