Long An leader reviews achievements & towards 2018

The Long An Party Committee, People’s Council, Fatherland Front Committee jointly organized meeting to celebrate the Communist Party and the Lunar New Year 2018, yesterday.

Representatives of Long An former leaders in the past years and leaders of the departments, localities and the veterans, officers attended the meeting.

On behalf of Long An leaders, Secretary Party Committee cum Chairman of People’s Council Pham Van Ranh reviewed the Communist Party’s achievements during 88 years and reported the provincial outstanding results in 2017.

As per report, in 2017, Long An completed and passed 19 out of 21 criteria; of these, GRDP growth rate reached 9.53 percent. The State Budget collected VND 12,300billion, accounting for 108.3 percent compared to the central target to reach 107.9 percent over the provincial target, bringing Long An be listed in the cities/provinces nationwide to have total state budget collection of up to VND 10trillion. As a result, Long An was ranked top in the Mekong Delta region.

Two breakthrough programs and three major works set out in accordance with Resolution of the province’s 10th Party Congress implemented absolutely well.

At the meeting, the party chief appreciated highly positive contribution of the departments, agencies and staff, people, enterprises in the province and other region, emphasizing that the province thanked deeply to former President Truong Tan Sang, deputy Standing Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and Long An people.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the party chief sent congratulatory messages to delegates and their families, hoping that they would continue sharing experiences in building Long An to be a prosperous, civilized, beautiful province./.
