Long An leaders meet overseas Vietnamese on Lunar Tet

Deputy Chairman of Long An People’s Committee Pham Van Canh praised the contributions of overseas Vietnamese towards the province’s development 

Deputy Chairman of Long An People’s Committee Pham Van Canh, leaders from the departments, agencies and around 200 overseas Vietnamese attended the meeting.

Mr. Canh reported outstanding achievements of social economic sector in 2017 to overseas Vietnamese delegates; praised the contributions of overseas Vietnamese towards the province’s development in the fields such as trade promotion, science technology…

In 2017, overseas Vietnamese contributed over VND 10billion in implementing social security, charitable activities in the province including building houses for the poor, repairing rural bridges and roads…

Deputy Chairman Canh hoped in the upcoming times, overseas Vietnamese and their relatives would continue supporting, contributing in social-economic and cultural development in the province.

On behalf of the province leaders, Mr. Canh extended good wishes to overseas Vietnamese and their relatives for a lunar New Year, saying that they would have a warm, happy and sufficient Lunar Tet in Vietnam-their homeland./.
