At the 8th session, deputy chairman of the council Nguyen Minh Lam reported solving results of the problems. So far, 33 out of 253 deputies’ opinions have been tackled while the remaining ones are still waiting for consideration.
In agriculture field, the province has supplemented a road drainage system south of Canal 79 because the previous one has no longer ensured drainage in Hung Thanh commune, Tan Hung district.
Landslide in April 30 Canal has been repaired to ensure production and stabilize residents’ lives in Tân An and Phước Tuy communes, Cần Đước district with the total cost of VND3.2 billion since last year.
The district People’s Committee is now broadening and upgrading the canal road surface in Tan An commune using new rural development program funds in 2017.
In addition, the provincial People’s Committee is considering other proposals to speed up construction of Canal 63 in Tan Thanh district and Rach Cat dyke in Can Giuoc district, repair downgraded Phuoc Hoa canal in Duc Hoa district and inspect Ro Canal dredging and road building in Kien Tuong town.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is consulting the provincial People’s Committee on implementing policies to encourage residents, cooperatives and businesses to attend in production connectivity, farm produce consumption and large scale paddy fields as per suggestions by deputies in Thanh Hoa district.

In health field, deputies have proposed the province to settle medicine shortage for patients with health insurance cards, organize health check and medicine delivery for these more scientifically at Long An General Hospital and improve the qualification of doctors in district hospitals.

In response to proposals by deputies in traffic field, the provincial People’s Committee had sped up construction of Road 830 and put the work into operation in September this year. Repair of Road 817 was done in June.
The province has also placed traffic signs at new Binh Quoi road crossroads in Road 827B, Chau Thanh district.
Trucks, buses and coaches have been banned from traveling through Tan An 1 Bridge from August 28 after deputies said that the bridge’s concrete surface is very narrow and asynchronously connected with National Highway 1A. That creates bottle necks in both sides of the bridge, causing a high danger of traffic accidents./.
