Long An ranked in group 2 - continues to implement roadmap to meet epidemic control criteria

The meeting of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control in Long An province on the progress of Covid-19 vaccination, preparing to restore production, solving social security and preparing the new school-year opening ceremony 

After determining the right goals, choosing the right strategies and organizing the drastic, synchronous and effective implementation of solutions to prevent and control the epidemic, up to now, Long An has been ranked in localities of group 2, it is one of 12 localities that are continuing the roadmap to meet the epidemic control criteria.

Long An focused on treatment, so the mortality rate was controlled and tended to decrease, from 1.22 percent before to 1.19 percent. The province is also drastic, speeds up the implementation of vaccinations quickly and to the right people. As of September 10, nearly 100 percent of people aged 18 and older received the first shots (completed 5 days before the request of the Ministry of Health); at the same time speeds up the community screening. From there, the province protects and expands the "green zones", turning all localities in the "red zones" to "orange zones", "yellow zones" and "green zones".

In addition, the conference also pointed out some shortcomings and limitations such as negligence and subjectivity in controlling, testing and screening in the community. Some "green-zone" localities have low sample-testing rates, have not strictly implemented the 5K regulations in epidemic prevention, etc.

Concluding the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control – Nguyen Van Duoc asked to continue promoting screening tests to separate all F0 from the community, especially in Duc Hoa, Ben Luc and Tan An City. In vaccination work, localities focus on injecting the second shots for people who have had enough time after injecting the first shots.

In addition, the province continues to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the guiding spirit of the PM that "communes, wards and townlets are as the "fortress", the people are as the "soldiers", they are the service centers and the subjects in epidemic prevention and control”. Besides, it is necessary to do good treatment, especially on the 1st level to reduce the pressure on the 2nd and 3rd levels.

He asked the localities to make efforts to maintain the achieved results in epidemic prevention and control, absolutely not to let the situation of subjectivity and neglect occur in the fight against the epidemic; The general view is that it is necessary to be cautious step by step when easing the distance, especially the "green-zone" localities need to strictly implement Directive 15+ within the locality and implement Directive 16+ in the neighbouring areas. In particular, the province needs to be proactive, prepare carefully for situations when the epidemic breaks out again, not be subjective, because the epidemic risk is always present.
In addition, the Department of Education and Training, the Radio and Television Station and the Department of Information and Communications have coordinated in organizing online teaching in many forms, ensuring effective learning for students.

At the same time, the province implements plans to restore the production and business of enterprises, ensures reality, safety and efficiency. Localities need to pay attention to ensuring people's safety, security, social order and safety, etc./.
