Long An Steering Committee 389 seize nearly 317.000 packs of smuggled cigarettes
According to the Steering Committee 389 of Long An province, from the beginning of 2019 until now, functional forces have detected and confiscated 316,865 packs of smuggled foreign cigarettes. In February alone, there were 112,042 packs of smuggled cigarettes.

Smuggling activities in the Long An border line are kept under proper control. The functional forces in the province and localities continue to implement many measures such as inspecting, controlling, blocking at hot spots, major routes and arresting, handling many cases of using cars to transport the smuggled cigarettes.
Smugglers often use 4-seat to 7-seat cars to transport cigarettes at night (from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.) or in the morning (from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m.) when there are many vehicles back and forth so as to avoid the pursuit of functional forces./.
