Long An rewards police, border troops for combating cigarrette smugling

Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Le Minh Duc (C) gives an reward decision to police and army border forces for combating cigarette smuggling in Long An province

Being spotted while transporting illicit cigarette by  a minibus, smugglers ran way leaving the vehicle and bags containing 29,400 cigarette packets of Jet and Hero brand names.

The officials seized the entire illegal goods and the minibus to continue investigating.

On December 8, 2017, Duc Hue district Police Department stormed a spot keeping illegal cigarette and seized 60,000 packets of different brand names and three motorbikes.

The standing board of Steering Board 389 proposed the chairman of the provincial People’s Committee to give the two teams awards worth VND20 million each.
