Workers and laborers receive gifts during Workers' Month 2024
In 2025, Workers’ Month will be held under the slogan “Vietnamese Workers: Pioneering into a New Era”, with the theme of “Enhancing Risk Assessment and Identification, and Proactively Implementing Measures to Ensure Workplace Safety and Hygiene.”
The ceremony is expected to welcome approximately 1,100 participants, including trade union officials, workers, and laborers from across the province.
As a part of the event, the Provincial Federation of Labor will present certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee to enterprises with outstanding achievements in occupational safety and hygiene in 2024. In addition, gifts will be presented to workers in difficult circumstances, those who have suffered work-related injuries with a disability rate of 61% or more, and financial support will be provided for the construction of "Trade Union Shelters."
Additional activities include the “Trade Union Members’ Welfare Program,” legal consultation sessions, and reproductive health consultations for union members and workers. The welfare program is expected to feature 10 to 20 booths offering high-quality Vietnamese products with clear origin and traceability, sold at prices lower than or equal to current market rates.
Before the launching ceremony, on April 18, the Federation will host the 2025 Outstanding Occupational Safety and Hygiene Officers Contest, consisting of three parts: written knowledge test, team introductions with skits, and practical knowledge and problem-solving related to occupational safety and health.
The Long An Federation of Labor will present awards for the safety contest during the launch ceremony of Workers’ Month and the Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health in 2025.
Through this launch and the series of activities during Workers’ Month and the Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health, the Long An Federation of Labor aims to highlight the pioneering role of trade union members and workers, while promoting awareness and responsibility for safety and hygiene across workplaces in the province./.
