Long An: Training on land inventory, mapping of land use status 2019

On October 15, Long An Department of Natural Resources and Environment organized an online conference to train land inventory, mapping the current land use status in the province in 2019. Deputy Director of Department of Natural Resources and Environment - Pham Tung Chinh chaired the conference. Representatives of provincial departments, agencies and sectors attended the meeting.

Land inventory, mapping current status of land use to assess the situation of land use of each administrative unit at commune, district and province levels; strengthening the state management of land, improving the efficiency of land use; as a basis for planning and land use plan at all levels in the period 2021 - 2030 and formulating the socio-economic development strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

In addition, land inventory and status mapping contribute to the compilation of statistical indicators under the national statistical indicator system, code 0101 - land area and land structure.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment - Pham Tung Chinh, land inventory and status mapping play an extremely important role in the orientation as well as local socio-economic development. Objects included in the 2019 land inventory are areas of the land of all types, types of users and subjects assigned by the State for management; the situation of management and use of organizations and individuals in the area. The land inventory and mapping of current land use status will comply with the requirements of the Prime Minister's Directive 15/CT-TTg, June 17, 2019.

At the conference, the professional divisions and departments of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment organized guidelines for localities on the contents of land inventory, mapping the current land use status in the form of general regulations, thematic inventory tables according to No. 15/CT-TTg.

In addition, localities are also guided to use land statistics and inventory software to facilitate the implementation of land inventory and land use status mapping.
