In her closing remarks, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan asked the Government, NA committees and relevant agencies to study opinions presented during the session regarding the draft revised law on the execution of criminal judgments, while finalising three draft resolutions for issuance.

She noted that the 31st session is slated for February 20 and 21, which is only more than one week after the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday. As the time for preparation for the session is short, the Government and relevant ministries and agencies should actively coordinate with the NA Standing Committee to complete necessary preparation, Ngan said.

Earlier, the NA Standing Committee approved the adjustment and establishment of a number of administrative units in the southern province of Dong Thap, and the northern province of Hai Duong.

The 30th session of the NA Standing Committee took place in only one day, during which members of the committee gave their ideas on a number of issues of the draft revised Law on Execution of Criminal Judgments, and considered and decided the sending of a representative to the national council for judge selection and supervision./.
