The Dat Set - Ben Cui Road has been completed and put into use in recent times
Accelerating many important traffic projects
In the development process, the province has always understood the importance of traffic infrastructure and considered this one of the breakthroughs. With a strategic vision, in recent years, the province has continued to mobilize and prioritize investment capital to develop traffic infrastructure, including many large-scale projects with regional connectivity.

Provincial leaders and sectors survey a traffic project
One of the recent national projects is Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, the 6.84km section through Tay Ninh, part of component project 7 with a total capital of over 3,040 billion VND. This project started construction in June 2023. By the end of July 2025, the 3 main packages had reached nearly 80% of the contract value. Of which, package XL1 constructs the expressway; package XL2 constructs the viaduct, river overpass and parallel road; package XL3 constructs the final intersection connecting the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway.
In addition, additional packages such as XL3A (completing the intersection), XL5 (traffic safety, fences, lighting) and XL4A, XL4B (connecting urban areas) are being actively implemented. The intelligent transportation system package is being prepared and is expected to be constructed in the third quarter of 2025. Thanks to the close coordination between the Central and local governments and the determination of the construction units, some items' progress of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project are expected to be shorten by 1-3 months. The province's goal is to complete the expressway section by October 2025 and the entire project by 2026, creating a strong momentum for urban, industrial and logistics development in the southern region.
Mr. Dang Hoang Chuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, said that the important routes connecting the region that have been invested in not only shorten travel time but also open up many new potentials and development spaces. In particular, he highly appreciated the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway project (phase 1).
According to the Tay Ninh Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway is 51 km long, the section passing through Tay Ninh province is 26.3 km long with a total project investment of more than 19,600 billion VND. The project is divided into 4 components, of which component project 4 is compensation and resettlement support, which has been approved for compensation and support of more than 3,056 billion VND (before the organization arrangement); the advance payment to the District and Town Land Fund Development Centers before the organization arrangement was 2,263 billion VND. By the end of July 2025, the paid compensation to people reached 91.63%, equivalent to 1,480 households. The province aims to complete the handover of the site in August 2025.
In parallel with the expressway and beltway, Tay Ninh focuses on investing in upgrading the provincial road system to create synchronous connectivity. Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Director of Long An Construction Investment Project Management Board, said that the highlight is Provincial Road 823D - the "connecting circuit" of Tay Ninh with Ho Chi Minh City, 14.27 km long, modernly designed, with a main road surface of 14 m wide with 4 lanes, 2 parallel lanes on each side 7 m wide, with a total roadbed of 32-40 m. The total investment capital for road construction is more than 1,105 billion VND, of which the central budget supports 1,000 billion VND. The compensation, support and resettlement costs are up to 3,745 billion VND. By the end of July 2025, the value of the construction volume of this project was more than 570.1 billion VND, reaching 60.28% of the total construction capital. When completed, Provincial Road 823D will not only facilitate the circulation and transportation of goods but also open up space for industrial and urban development.
Another project is Provincial Road 830E, the section from the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway interchange to Provincial Road 830 (Long Cang commune) is 9.3km long, with a total investment of more than 3,707 billion VND. Phase 1 will build 2 parallel roads, each side has 2 mixed lanes and 1 lane for rudimentary vehicles, with a river overpass; the completed phase will form an 8-lane expressway. This is expected to be a dynamic traffic axis connecting industrial parks, clusters, dry ports and logistics centers.
At the same time, according to the Tay Ninh Construction Investment Project Management Board, the province also focuses on investing in upgrading the provincial road system and expanding the routes connecting to Xa Mat and Tan Nam border gates, industrial parks, clusters and high-tech agricultural production areas, such as the N8 - 787B - 789 regional connecting road project, with a total investment of more than 3,400 billion VND. The project has a total route length of more than 48 km, passing through Trang Bang town and Duong Minh Chau district (old). Up to now, 4 construction packages have been deployed simultaneously, ensuring progress. In addition, the Truong Chinh Road project (from Provincial Road 781 to 30/4 Road) with a total investment of more than 1,170 billion VND has started construction since March 2025.
Many new projects to be launched

In recent years, the province's transport infrastructure has received increasing investment
According to the Department of Construction, in recent times, the province has continued to carry out procedures to prepare for the launch of major transport projects, creating a turning point in regional infrastructure development. Notably, the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project, the section through Tay Ninh is 74.5 km long, with an 8-lane expressway, a design speed of 100km/h, and a parallel road. Phase 1 will invest in 4 expressway lanes with a 25.5 m wide base with a total capital of more than 68,270 billion VND, of which the state budget supports more than 39,500 billion VND, the rest in the form of PPP. This is a strategic connection route, creating a new development axis from Tay Ninh to major economic centers and seaports. To date, the province has completed the pre-feasibility study report. Currently, the locality is selecting a consulting contractor to prepare a feasibility study report, which will serve as a legal basis for the next steps.
In addition, the province has recently prepared for the implementation of the access road to 3 bridges on Provincial Road 827E, with an investment capital of 3,040 billion VND (of which 1,607 billion VND is for compensation and site clearance, and 1,433 billion VND is for construction). The project will start construction in August 2025. In addition, the Go Dau - Xa Mat expressway project, phase 1, 28 km long, with a speed of 120 km/h, is also completing the pre-feasibility study dossier.
With the above strong investment, Tay Ninh will own an increasingly complete, interconnected, and regionally connected transportation network. This helps shorten transportation time, reduce logistics costs, create clean land funds, and quickly connect with economic centers. Along with that, the development of transport infrastructure will promote the expansion of industrial zones and clusters, the formation of new urban areas, the promotion of border trade, tourism development, etc.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Lam requested departments, branches and localities to continue to review, arrange priorities and remove difficulties for transport works, especially key projects, and at the same time review the provincial transport planning after the merger, study and adjust to ensure smooth connection between routes, serving sustainable socio-economic development./.
