PM offers to share rice cultivation experience with Cameroon

Vietnam is willing to share experience in wet rice cultivation and other fields with Cameroon, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said at his reception for Cameroon Foreign Minister Lejeune Mbella Mbella in Hanoi on December 27. 

PM Phuc took the occasion to thank the Cameroon Government for backing Vietnamese investors in the country.

He said that Cameroon’s offering of optimal conditions for Vietnamese firms has helped facilitate Vietnamese investment in the country, which is evidence of the fruitful bilateral cooperation.

Expressing delight at the growing ties between Vietnam and Cameroon, he declared that Vietnam always treasures the traditional friendship with the African country and hopes to broaden economic collaboration to match their sound political relations.

He also lauded the close coordination between the two sides at regional and international forums over the past years. 

The Government leader said he believes that the visit of Cameroon Foreign Minister Lejeune Mbella Mbella, during which many important bilateral agreements were signed, will help open up a new chapter in the Vietnam-Cameroon partnership.

For his part, the Cameroon Foreign Minister said that his country pays special attention to expanding ties with Vietnam, which is the reason of his visit.

He said that along with agricultural development, Cameroon is focusing on upgrading infrastructure system such as roads, ports and airports. The country is also keen on developing energy, information technology and digital economy, he said, expressing hope to promote partnership with Vietnam in these fields.
