Politburo members meet with voters after NA’s fifth sitting

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Pham Binh Minh, answered queries on the Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units, educational reforms and economic issues, while meeting with voters at the Thai Nguyen University, in the northern province of Thai Nguyen, on June 20.

Politburo member Minh informed the voters of the current regional and global situations, as well as the Party and State’s recent foreign affairs activities.

At the meeting, the Thai Nguyen voters called on the Party and State to invest further in educational development, healthcare, and university network planning. They also asked the Government to offer preferential mechanisms and policies for regional universities in order to attract highly-qualified human resources and competent experts.

On the same day, Politburo member, Vo Van Thuong, head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, met with the voters in Long Thanh district and Bien Hoa city in the southern province of Dong Nai.

The constituents touched on a number of local issues that need to be addressed, including the delay in the implementation of the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau expressway project, the shortcomings in infrastructure construction, and the convoluted procedures in dealing with insurance-related issues.

Thuong applauded the wholehearted and responsible opinions raised by the voters, stating that during the recent fifth session, the National Assembly (NA) adopted seven laws and eight resolutions, while commenting on nine other bills for continuous finalisation and approval in the up-coming sittings.

He gave the local voters a brief introduction to the newly adopted Law on Cyber Security and a number of contents related to the draft Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units, and clarified certain other contents of their concern.

At their meeting with voters in District 2 on Wednesday, the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City’s NA deputies, headed by Politburo member and Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, Nguyen Thien Nhan, briefed the locals on the outcomes of the NA’s fifth sitting, while listening to their opinions related to the process of land revocation, compensation and clearance at the Thu Thiem New Urban Area./.
