Provincial Road 823D project completes over 50% of the plan
At a recent meeting with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam said that one of the connecting points for developing transport infrastructure with Ho Chi Minh City is the Provincial Road 823D - the newly opened Northwest road.
Provincial Road 823D Project completes about 51% of the plan
Currently, Long An is about to complete the Provincial Road 823D project (in Duc Hoa district). Member of Long An Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam hopes that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will pay attention and prioritize investment in this project to soon connect traffic and contribute to socio-economic development.
The Provincial Road 823D project has a length of 14.2km; the starting point intersects with the new Northwest road at Ranh canal, the end point is at the Hau Nghia roundabout intersection, the intersection of National Highway N2 with Ho Chi Minh road, Duc Hoa district, Long An province. The project has 4-lane road, 14m wide, 2 parallel lanes 7m wide, roadbed width of 32m - 40m.

Currently, contractors are implementing many projects
The project has a total investment of more than 1,105 billion VND, with the central budget supporting capital target of 1,000 billion VND, the rest is provincial budget capital and other legally mobilized sources.
The project started construction on December 28, 2021; the completion date was extended to June 30, 2025. The project is undertaken by the joint venture of Hai Duong Embankment Construction and Rural Development Joint Stock Company - Hoan Hao Company Limited - Trung Thanh Investment and Construction Company Limited, with a contract value of 946 billion VND. Currently, contractors are implementing 10 projects with a progress of about 51%, the value of the implemented volume is more than 482 billion VND.

The project is expected to be put into use in June 2025
According to the Long An Department of Transport, when completed, this project will connect many key routes such as Ho Chi Minh Road, National Highway N2 at the Hau Nghia town intersection, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, etc.
The project is expected to contribute to promoting industrial and urban development, attracting investment in Duc Hoa district, increasing regional connectivity with Ho Chi Minh City./.
