In 2024, Tan An City completed 18/18 targets of the Resolution of the City Party Executive Committee, of which 11 targets were exceeded; completed 15/17 targets of the Resolution of the 11th Congress of Tan An City Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

Tan An City was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting civilized urban area standards; successfully organized a series of events to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the city's establishment; excellently completed the coordination work, successfully organized the 2nd Long An Province Culture - Sports - Tourism Week in 2024. 2025 is a decisive year, exceeding the targets of the 11th Tan An City Party Congress, term 2020-2025, and is also the first year of implementing the Party Congress at all levels, term 2025-2030. Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Tan An City People's Council - Le Cong Dinh said that this is a year that requires acceleration and breakthrough in implementing socio-economic tasks, contributing to completing the Resolution of the City Party Congress and the 11th Provincial Party Congress.

Entering the new year, Party committees at all levels, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Tan An City must urgently develop plans and organize the implementation of political tasks for 2025 right from the beginning of the year. Heads of agencies and units must lead and thoroughly disseminate to cadres and civil servants the main targets of the Resolution of the City Party Committee and of their localities, agencies and units. Each cadre and party member, especially the leaders, must continue to enhance their sense of responsibility, demonstrate a good role as an example, build awareness and a dynamic working style, creating a strong breakthrough to successfully implement the Resolution of 2025.

At the same time, Tan An City must strengthen revenue management, reduce revenue loss, tax arrears, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of inspection and examination work in budget management and operation in 2025 with the determination to collect budget exceeding the target assigned by the province; closely monitor public investment in 2025, ensure disbursement progress according to plan; focus on solving difficulties and obstacles, creating strong changes in compensation, site clearance, and resettlement; successfully lead the organization of the grassroots Party Congress and the Tan An City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Tan An City is focusing on implementing the task of building and developing into a green, smart city; completing the criteria for a type I city. This is one of the important contents, requiring the city to make a breakthrough to successfully implement the set goals.

In particular, Tan An City focuses on mobilizing resources to meet the requirements of building the city into a type I city before 2030; deploy the project to mobilize resources to build Tan An City to meet the standards of a type I urban area in the direction of a green, smart city.

In particular, the city is streamling the organization of the city's political system to operate effectively and efficiently according to Resolution No. 18- of the Party Central Committee (term XII).
