Tay Ninh attends the first Global Cities Tourism Summit 2025

From October 27- 28, 2025, the first Global Cities Tourism Summit 2025 took place in Busan, South Korea. The event attracted tourism leaders from more than 30 cities around the world. Delegates from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Tay Ninh Province represented the Tourism Promotion Organization for Global Cities (TPO) members from Vietnam.

The summit featured 4 discussion sessions with presentations delivered by experts, business leaders, representatives of tourism development funds from TPO member cities, multinational corporations, and university professors from around the world.

The event served as an important forum for global tourism leaders to share development orientations and discuss solutions to adapt to new trends such as wellness tourism, MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in tourism, as well as to enhance international cooperation in this field.

Currently, the Tourism Promotion Organization for Global Cities (TPO) has 204 members, including provinces, cities, non-governmental organizations, and multinational corporations worldwide.

The Tourism Promotion Organization for Global Cities (TPO) is a network that connects cities to promote exchange and cooperation among its members, particularly in the field of tourism promotion. Through this network, cities can share experiences, data, and tourism development strategies, while jointly organizing events, conferences, training programs, and international promotional activities. These efforts contribute to enhancing the economic and cultural standing of member cities on the global tourism map.

Participation in the first Global Cities Tourism Summit 2025 offers Tay Ninh an excellent opportunity to showcase its tourism potential, connect with other cities, and learn from their experience in tourism management and promotion. This, in turn, will help boost the province’s local tourism development and strengthen Tay Ninh’s international image in the global tourism market.

The former Long An province became a member of TPO in October 2021, and now Tay Ninh province continues to maintain this membership. With its advantageous geographical location and diverse supplementary tourism products—such as high-quality golf courses, abundant medicinal resources, the scenic Vam Co River landscape, and a rich system of spiritual, ecological, and experiential tourism—Tay Ninh is considered highly suitable for developing modern, trend-aligned forms of tourism. The province is expected to become one of Vietnam’s most attractive destinations for international visitors soon./.
