Exploiting potential

Tay Ninh is a land of intersection and convergence between the river region and the low hilly region, with Ba Den mountain peak becoming a prominent highlight. The province owns a large part of the Dong Thap Muoi region, and has Ba Den mountain - "the roof of the South"; Lo Go - Xa Mat National Park with a diverse ecosystem and is associated with stories about the tradition of "bravery and resilience" of the homeland during the resistance years.

This is also a place where many different cultures and beliefs intersect, creating unique characteristics in harmony and unity. Currently, the whole province has 223 ranked relics, including 1 special national relic; 49 national relics; 173 provincial relics; 16 national intangible cultural heritages and 1 intangible cultural heritage of humanity. In addition, many festivals with strong cultural identities have become valuable resources for developing community tourism, encouraging direct participation of people and promoting cultural, historical, and natural landscape values ​​in the area.

With the advantage of bordering Ho Chi Minh City, suburban entertainment projects and a system of high-quality, safe, modern and civilized tourism service facilities have been effectively exploited, attracting tens of thousands of tourists each year. Effectively promoting existing potential and advantages, Tay Ninh is developing a variety of tourism types, from sightseeing, entertainment, recreation to cultural and ecological experiences. Many models and tours have been put into operation, gradually attracting the attention of tourists such as eco-tourism of Lo Go - Xa Mat National Park combined with revolutionary bases in the South; traditional cultural tourism, experiencing Khmer culture; garden eco-tourism associated with natural landscapes and rural specialties; exploring the forest combined with learning about history; eco-tourism of Dong Thap Muoi region; or other types of entertainment and recreation tourism.

In addition, agricultural tourism is becoming a new highlight. Models such as mulberry gardens, durian guilds, custard apple cooperatives or rest stops associated with local specialties (such as Tam Lan tea) bring tourists unique experiences with the production life of Tay Ninh people.

Application of digital technology

One of the highlights of Tay Ninh tourism is the application of digital technology to promote tourism images. In addition to familiar platforms such as websites, fanpages, Zalo OA, YouTube, in 2025, the province has deployed the construction of TikTok channels, 360-degree maps at Binh Thanh Ancient Tower, Tay Ninh Cao Dai Holy See, and at the same time built 360/3D maps for the Southeast region, initially receiving attention and positive feedback from tourists. The propaganda document on civilized tourist behavior is also integrated into QR codes and promoted on social networking platforms.

In addition, the application of electronic 3D mapping projection using modern technology at Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area and the Southern Central Bureau Historical Site brings new experiences to visitors. Not only does it vividly recreate historical events and cultural spaces, 3D Mapping also helps visitors have a more intuitive, realistic and emotional experience than traditional display methods. Images combined with sound and light create strong visual effects, stimulating the imagination and interest of viewers. In particular, this technology also contributes to renewing the approach to relics and heritage, helping the younger generation easily receive information, thereby improving the effectiveness of propaganda, education and tourism promotion. Mr. Huynh Huy Hoang (residing in Thuan My commune) shared: “On my recent trip to the Southern Central Bureau Historical Site, I got to see a presentation using 3D Mapping technology. It was the first time I saw this type of presentation, both modern and vivid. Everyone couldn't take their eyes off it.”

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the application of digital transformation helps tourism marketing activities become more effective, reaching more customers, and at the same time helping tourists easily access information and feedback on services. This is also a factor contributing to improving the quality of state management in the tourism sector.

Thanks to the concerted efforts, the Tay Ninh tourism industry has achieved many encouraging results. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, from 2020 to 2024, the whole province attracted about 23.7 million visitors, with revenue of about  9,881 billion VND. The total number of tourists in 2025 is estimated at about 7.7 million visitors.

This growth shows that the quality of Tay Ninh tourism is increasingly improving, from the number of visitors, revenue to brand reputation. In particular, the seasonality in tourism activities, which was a limitation of the locality, has now been overcome. The orientation is to develop green, sustainable and in-depth tourism.

The goal is to build the image of “Safe and attractive Tay Ninh tourism” associated with the integration trend towards comprehensive, rapid and sustainable development.

In addition, the province's tourism will also focus on diversifying products and improving service quality to increase the number of visitors and tourism revenue. Tay Ninh tourism continues to play an important role in the process of economic restructuring, creating favorable conditions to promote the development of other industries and sectors, thereby affirming its position as a key economic sector of the locality./.
