Thailand chosen to host FIFA Congress 2024
The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) chose Thailand for its annual congress in 2024, Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, President of the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has announced.

The 74th FIFA Congress is scheduled to take place on May 17, 2024, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.
Thailand is the first ASEAN country to host a FIFA congress, which is expected to attract over 1,000 representatives from all over the world.
The congress is the occasion for FIFA members from 211 associations worldwide to nominate themselves to host the FIFA World Cup and propose candidates for the FIFA president position.
Participants at the congress will also select the host country for the Women’s World Cup 2027.
Thai authorities expect that the FIFA Congress 2024 will build confidence and enhance Thailand’s reputation as a global event host in alignment with the Government’s goals. It also paves the way for Thailand to present itself as a potential host for the FIFA World Cup through cooperation with other ASEAN countries to become co-hosts because one of FIFA’s requirements for hosting the FIFA World Cup is to have previously hosted the FIFA Congress./.
