Tourism Digital Transformation Day – Driving force for sustainable development
On July 11, Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta region's Digital Transformation Day 2023 took place in Can Tho City with the theme: “Digital transformation - The driving force for sustainable development”.

At the event, representatives of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Tourism Promotion Information Center; Tourism Associations of provinces and cities; Technology platform providers; Tourism service providers participated, visited exhibition space, displayed, introduced technology platforms in tourism and learned about digital transformation solutions in tourism.

Speaking at the opening, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism - Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu said, thanks to the event, the tourism ecosystem of Mekong Delta region and Ho Chi Minh City can interact and share information and technology applying to the management, administration and development of tourism in each locality.

Delegates also participated in a seminar on new tourism trends and practical application of technology in tourism in Vietnam with 2 topics: "Tourism data management - The sollution to efficiency and sustainable development” and “The trend of integrating AI and VR into interaction, enhancing visitors' experience - Great potential in tourism”.
Deputy Director of Long An Tourism Promotion Information Center - Le Thi Hong Thuy said that the province actively participates in the Tourism College Festival because this is an opportunity for Long An to learn and experience technology platforms, solutions and applications in the development of local tourism. Hopefully, through the event, Long An will be supported by Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region to promote the application of information technology in the development of local tourism.
