Vietnamese Student Association’s congress closes

The 10th Congress of the Vietnamese Student Association closed on December 12, with Bui Quang Huy, a member of the Youth Union’s secretariat, being elected as the group’s chairman for the 2018-2023 term.

During the three-day convention, dialogues were held between student delegates and representatives of the government and ministries on a variety of issues such as political education for students, connecting students with enterprises and healthy entertainment for students.

Speaking at the closing session, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam affirmed that the Party and State always create the best conditions for students while calling on them to aspire to enhance their knowledge and capacity to become global citizens in the country’s period of development and international integration.

At the same time, the Deputy PM also asked the association to continue upholding its role of representing the voice of students and make active contributions for the sake of the community.

After three days of convening, the congress adopted a resolution which aims to build a strong association that fulfils the role of accompanying students, improves the lives and protects the legitimate rights and benefits of students.

Later in the evening, a gala performance was held to celebrate the success of the congress./.
