Ceremony marks the southwest border defense war victory

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Association Truong Minh Nhut reviewed the main events in Cambodia's victory over the Pol Pot genocidal regime to rebuild new society for the Cambodian people.

the 7th of January is considered as a historical landmark of international transparency, loyalty and friendly relations between Vietnam and Cambodia; helping Cambodia over the Pol Pot genocidal regime to enter the era of freedom, independence and revision and open a period of the countries’ good neighboring relationships, said chairman Truong Minh Nhut. 

Currently, the economic cooperation between the two nations has been expanding; in particular, total registered investment capital of Vietnam into Cambodia reached over US$ 3.5 billion with more than 184 projects ranking the fifth biggest foreign investor as well as the third biggest trade partner of the country in the fields of telecommunications, banking, energy, rubber tree planting, agricultural processing and fertilizer.../.
