Activities to be held to mark 50th anniversary of the Dong Loc victory

An arts programme will be held on the evening of July 21 at the Dong Loc T-junction historical site to mark 50th anniversary of the Dong Loc victory

The Ha Tinh provincial authorities have launched a knowledge contest and a song-writing competition on the victory, and will also host a symposium on the historic event.

The song-writing contest has attracted more than 60 entries so far, while the knowledge contest drew the participation of over 400,000 youth union members and students in the province, with five first, ten second and 15 third prizes being presented.

A gathering for war veterans and former youth volunteers, as well as a requiem for fallen soldiers, will also be scheduled.

Gifts will be presented to the families of war invalids and the houses of policy beneficiaries will be upgraded or repaired on the occasion.
