Firefighting Police ensure safety for Tet holidays

Under the request of the police chief of Long An Province in the Mekong delta, Firefighters and Rescuers have adopted measures for fire prevention campaign in 2018.

 Fire fighters will enhance supervision of fire fighting preparations in these factories in industrial parks, residential blocks, markets, warehouses and commercial centers where fire may occur at anytime

As per the plan, the provincial firefighting station will implement overall measures for fire prevention as well as increase information and responsibility of leaders, enterprises and people on the matter in order to encourage them for active participation in firefighting.

Additionally, police officers will take preventative measures to the localities under their jurisdiction to have timely solution. Besides, they will issue harsh penalties on violators of fire fighting and prevention. They make concerted efforts to reduce fire incident and curb huge fire in the campaign, especially in holidays and festive activities, events…

Head of the provincial Station of Fire Fighting and Prevention Colonel Tran Van Tien has instructed teams to spread information, regulations and basic knowledge of fire fighting such as how to prevent fire, how to escape from a fire safety, how to put out a small fire and required prompt action to stop a fire spread to locals, offices and enterprises.

Professional fire fighters will provide fresh courses to safe guards in residential blocks and locals to improve their skills and sense of responsibility in fire control to protect people’s lives and properties.

Furthermore, fire fighters will enhance supervision of fire fighting preparations in these factories in industrial parks, residential blocks, markets, warehouses and commercial centers where fire may occur at anytime. Along with this, police officers will be determined in dealing with those businesses which have violated fire prevention in a long time; through paying visits to units, police officers have both issued administrative fines and decided to suspend operation of violators.

Police officers will also inform the names of violators to the public and to local administration and insurance company.

Fire fighters will take turn to work around the clock especially in the night and extra hours. They will prepare full equipment to maintain local fire fighting force that will provide timely help in putting out the fire contributing to reduce fire consequences during Tet holidays (the Lunar New Year)./.
