Facing the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, implementing the Prime Minister's direction at the Government's Standing Committee on Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control on August 2, 2020, the Ministry of Health asked the provincial and municipal Departments of Health directly under the central government to closely coordinate with the Departments of Education and Training to implement some measures to ensure safety for the HSGE 2020 as follows:
1. Coordinating to develop a plan to carry out health work for preventing and controlling Covid-19 for HSGE in the provinces and cities.
2. Arranging human resources, equipment, drugs and chemicals and appointing medical establishments to participate in the professional medical work, including:
- Coordinating to review and classify all students taking the exam to have appropriate handling plan under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training and the provincial People's Committee.
- Coordinating, guiding hygiene and disinfection, preparing a temporary medical isolation rooms at the test sites.
- Arranging medical staff at test sites to timely give first aid and handle cases with fever, cough, shortness of breath.
- Coordinating to monitor students’ health and timely handling when they have signs of fever, cough, shortness of breath during the examination.
- In case the provinces and cities organize exam for students who have close contact with the disease cases (F1), ensure that all participants in the examination must wear protective clothing as prescribed and implemented measures to prevent cross-infection during the examination process.
3. Coordinating the media for students and parents to proactively declare health, monitor the health situation before going to the exam sites. If fever, cough or shortness of breath appears, they should notify the Contest Organizing Committee, the school or the form teacher to be resolved./.
