On the Korean side, there were Mr. Kang Myong-il - Consul General of the Republic of Korea HCMC, Mr. Kwon Sun Chil - Deputy Consul General of the Republic of Korea in HCMC, Mr. Kwon Ki Man - Commercial Counselor of the Korean Consulate General in HCMC.

According to Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc, this conference had an important meaning, contributing to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea. This event would be a premise to connect the Korean business community in the province with the provincial authority as well as connect businesses together.

This was also an opportunity for Long An province and Korean agencies, businesses and investors to enhance information exchange, improve mutual understanding, discuss more about investment projects and sign specific cooperation agreements. Thereby, the investment cooperation of Korean investors in the province was enhanced, contributing to promoting economic relations, investment, trade, tourism and increasing the value of import and export turnover.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expected to have an open discussion about the concerns of businesses, the need for investment cooperation, trade connections and their difficulties when investing in the province.

He believed that after the conference, the two sides would have more specific working connections with many cooperation opportunities for mutual development and success.

At the seminar, Korean businesses proposed that state management agencies pay attention to security, order, fire prevention, and ground clearance; the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic should be implemented in the spirit of “the new normal"; visa procedures should be simpler, etc. The provincial leaders received and directed relevant units to quickly remove difficulties for the investors right in March.

Mr. Kim Nyoun Ho - Chairman of Kocham Long An said that the close direction of the province made businesses very satisfied. This shows that provincial leaders were very interested in the difficulties of enterprises and consider them to be difficulties of the province. He would convey these ideas to Korean businesses. The Korean Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City would introduce and connect businesses about the investment environment in Long An.

In order to connect the Korean business community in Long An province, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Long An was established and put into operation. Mr. Kim Nyoun Ho was honored to be the chairman of the Chamber. This was an important foundation to open up many cooperation opportunities between Long An province and Korean enterprises.
