Tay Ninh and Gimhae City (South Korea) strengthening exchanges and cooperation for comprehensive development

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh congratulated Gimhae city on being selected as the host of the 13th General Assembly of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Asia-Pacific in 2027, affirming that this is an important event, demonstrating the prestige and increasing role of Gimhae in the region.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh added that Tay Ninh is honored to be the host of the TPO Vietnam Regional Conference in 2026. The two localities expect to coordinate and support each other within the framework of TPO, contributing to promoting the image, culture and tourism of both sides to international friends.

At the meeting, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh introduced the general potential and advantages of Tay Ninh province - a locality located in the Southern key economic region, with an economic scale ranked 10th in the country, having a strategic position when bordering Ho Chi Minh City, having 4 international border gates and an international seaport favorable for the development of trade, logistics services and border gate economy.

Besides, Tay Ninh also possesses many potentials for developing ecological, spiritual and cultural tourism, notably Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area, Tay Ninh Cao Dai Holy See, and Dau Tieng Lake.

Regarding investment attraction, by September 2025, the whole province had attracted 1,927 FDI projects with a total investment capital of more than 24.3 billion USD; of which, South Korea ranked second in the number of projects and fourth in investment capital, with 274 projects, total registered capital of more than 2 billion USD. In 2025 alone, South Korea will have 5 new projects with a total capital of more than 262 million USD.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also emphasized that Tay Ninh and Gimhae City have signed a cooperation agreement since 2016 on agriculture, trade, science and technology and public administration. This visit is an opportunity for the two sides to exchange and expand cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, education and people-to-people exchange, areas that Tay Ninh is very interested in and has great potential for development.

Tay Ninh province hopes that in the coming time, the two sides will promote friendly exchanges, connect businesses, organize cultural tourism promotion activities, and aim to establish an official cooperative relationship between Tay Ninh province and Gimhae city.

Through this visit, the delegation hopes to learn from Tay Ninh province's experience in socio-economic development. Mr. Choi Jung-heon affirmed that Gimhae city always attaches importance to the cooperative relationship with Tay Ninh and hopes that the two sides will soon realize specific cooperation programs in the near future.

At the meeting, the delegation members asked many questions to learn about the heritage culture, festival promotion strategy and tourism of Tay Ninh.
