These included a visit and working session with the Embassy of Vietnam in the Republic of Korea; participation in the Vietnam–Korea Economic Cooperation Promotion Conference hosted by the Embassy; a meeting with GS Group; and attendance at the Vietnam–Korea Local Cooperation, Investment Promotion, and Business Networking Forum 2025 in Goyang City. The delegation was greeted by Ambassador Vu Ho, Deputy Ambassador Nguyen Thi Thai Binh, and First Secretary Pham Khac Tuyen. During the meeting, Ambassador Vu Ho emphasized the progress made over more than 30 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, which have grown substantially and produced positive results in all areas.
Notably, since 2022, when the two countries officially upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, bilateral ties have continued to expand strongly and comprehensively in all sectors, establishing a strong foundation of friendship, mutual trust, respect, equality, and aligned interests.
In the field of politics and security, the two sides have regularly maintained high-level visits, thereby strengthening strategic trust. In terms of economics, the Republic of Korea is currently Vietnam’s largest foreign direct investor, its third-largest trading partner, and a leading provider of ODA.
These achievements have helped make Vietnam–Republic of Korea relations a model of deep, broad, and effective cooperation, while also contributing positively to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and beyond.

On behalf of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Huynh Van Son, Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, delivers a speech at the conference
In his remarks at the conference, Mr. Huynh Van Son, Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized that the Republic of Korea has always been one of the most important economic partners of both Vietnam and Tay Ninh Province. Among more than 40 countries and territories with investment relations in Tay Ninh, the Republic of Korea currently ranks second in the number of projects and fourth in investment capital, with 276 projects and total registered capital exceeding USD 2 billion. Korean enterprises have affirmed their role as reliable partners accompanying the province’s development, making significant contributions to export growth, creating trade surpluses, and fostering sustainable socio-economic development in Tay Ninh.
Tay Ninh holds a strategic geo-economic and political position on the East–West Economic Corridor; it borders Ho Chi Minh City and belongs to the Southeast Region, the most dynamic and developed economic zone in Vietnam; and it serves as a key gateway to the Mekong Delta. The province also shares nearly 369 km of border with the Kingdom of Cambodia, with 4 international border gates, including Moc Bai, the largest land border gate in the South.
With these advantages, Tay Ninh plays the role of an important ‘bridge’ linking major economic regions within the country, as well as a central hub for trade, commerce, tourism, and international cooperation.
Beyond attracting investment capital, Tay Ninh Province seeks to learn from the Republic of Korea’s advanced development models, particularly those applying AI and modern technologies in industry, agriculture, urban development, and administrative management. This will create a solid foundation for both sides to achieve shared prosperity and long-term success.
